For those who are not aquainted, the LDS church proclaims that it’s (former) 3-fold mission is:
1. To perfect the saints (help keep one another out of trouble)
2. To proclaim the gospel (help keep YOU out of trouble)
3. To redeem the dead (do ordinances by proxy for dead folks… help get them out of any trouble they may have caused while alive)
It’s nice to see the LDS church finally institutionalizing the main hallmark of Jesus Christ’s ministry.
