How Entre Nous Makes It Into Your Mailbox
…and how your billing cycle works.
Early in the month, I write Entre Nous. This becomes the issue for next month.
In this example, I am writing the September issue.
Subscriptions that come in on any date up to, and including the 14th, will be produced on this month’s production cycle.
In this example if you subscribe on the 14th, you will receive the September edition of Entre Nous.
On the 15th, I lock the production list. Everyone who is currently subscribed by this date will receive what I just wrote.
In this example, they will receive what I just wrote in September.
Subscriptions that begin after the 15th will be included in the following month’s production cycle.
In this example, someone who subscribes on 16 August has missed the September production window. Their first issue will be the October issue.
Their money paid on 16 September will be applied to their October issue.
For the next ten days, I print & package Entre Nous.
Each issue is printed, folded, stapled, trimmed, and assembled in my studio.
Around the 25th, they go in the mail.
In this example, the September issue is going in the mail.
Entre Nous will arrive in your mailbox around the 1st.
In this example, the September issue arrives around the 1st of September.
Your account is charged on the 1st of the month for next month’s issue, which puts you in line to have an issue produced for you.
In this example, on August 1st, your account is charged and sets you up to receive the September issue. On September 1st, you are billed for the upcoming October issue.

If I subscribed on or before the 14th, the 16th, how long will it take until I receive Entre Nous?
Approximately 6 weeks.
You will not be billed for 6 weeks, either.
